Adorye Says NPP Ouster Left Him Bitter and Hurt

Former NPP supporter Hopeson Adorye feels very hurt about being kicked out of his party. He told United Television in Accra that feeling bitter makes sense after all he did for the group. The party removed him last year because he backed Alan Kyerematen's Movement for Change instead of staying loyal. Adorye learned about his removal from news reports rather than directly from party leaders. He wouldn't say if he might rejoin NPP someday.

The expulsion happened when several important members left to help Kyerematen run for president outside the party. NPP officials called this behavior disloyal. Adorye spent many years helping the party win elections before this split. He thinks the way they treated him shows no respect for his past work. The whole situation has left him with deep emotional scars. His comments show the fighting continues between NPP members who stayed around versus those who left for new groups.
