El-Rufai brands Tinubu's rule evil vows to back 2027 ouster, not run

Nasir El-Rufai told reporters he will not run for president during the next election. The former Kaduna State governor wants to help remove President Tinubu from office instead. El-Rufai called the current government evil and said it has become a tragedy for Nigeria. He plans to support whatever political party can defeat Tinubu and the ruling APC. The former minister believes Nigerians need better leadership right away.

El-Rufai shared polling data showing 91 percent of people disapprove of Tinubu's administration. He said this represents the worst approval rating any Nigerian government has ever received. Citizens want a trustworthy alternative to replace the current failed leadership. Opposition groups must work together and forget about personal goals to succeed. El-Rufai thinks unity among different parties will create the best chance for change.

The politician admitted he helped bring Tinubu to power during the last election. El-Rufai feels guilty about supporting someone who has hurt the country. He wants to fix his mistake before retiring from politics at age 65. The former governor believes Tinubu will destroy Nigeria if people allow him to stay in charge. El-Rufai promised to spend his remaining political years fighting against what he calls this evil government.
