After deportation talk, Trump says he wants Musk to thrive

President Trump addressed tensions with Tesla CEO Elon Musk through a Truth Social statement that contradicted earlier threats. The two leaders experienced a public dispute over federal spending legislation earlier this year. Trump had previously suggested deportation possibilities for Musk during media interviews. Reports emerged regarding government investigations into SpaceX contracts with NASA and the Pentagon. Trump reversed course by declaring his support for Musk's business success across all ventures.

The president dismissed claims about targeting Musk's government subsidies and contracts. SpaceX maintains exclusive capabilities for transporting American astronauts to the International Space Station. The company also handles satellite launches for federal agencies and defense departments. Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, plans to deploy 550,000 NVIDIA processors requiring substantial power resources. Trump emphasized that thriving American businesses benefit the entire nation.
