Ajibade, Nnadozie make 2025 CAF awards shortlist

Nigeria has secured multiple nominations across major categories for the African Football Confederation women's awards. Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade earned recognition as a finalist for Player of the Year alongside Moroccan competitors Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy. The Paris Saint-Germain forward led her nation to a 10th WAFCON championship in Morocco, where she claimed both top player honors and a spot on the tournament's best XI.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie seeks an unprecedented third consecutive Goalkeeper of the Year title, competing against Morocco's Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa's Andile Dlamini. The Brighton shot-stopper helped secure both the Coupe de France Féminine and the WAFCON trophy.

Additional Nigerian representation includes Shakirat Moshood as a Young Player of the Year finalist and the Super Falcons nominated for National Team of the Year. The ceremony will take place in Rabat, Morocco.
