Ali Fazal brings Guddu Bhaiya’s silence to the big screen

Ali Fazal finds returning to his Guddu Bhaiya role for the Mirzapur film adaptation deeply intense. He told an outlet the character holds a heavy presence, where quiet moments feel more powerful than spoken lines. The actor just finished a shooting schedule in Rajasthan, noting that the sandy environment of Jaisalmer added fresh texture to the story. He promised audiences have a lot to anticipate for the big screen version.

Fazal posted a thank you message to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for their hospitality during production. The original series follows a crime family ruling a district in Uttar Pradesh, led by Pankaj Tripathi's character. The first season featured a large cast, including Divyendu Sharma and Vikrant Massey. Subsequent seasons added actors like Vijay Varma while filming across various locations in that Indian state.
