Ramya Krishnan finally sees Padayappa on the big screen, claps like 1999

Actress Ramya Krishnan recently saw her classic film Padayappa on a theater screen for the first time, sharing her excitement in a social media post. The 1999 Tamil action drama, directed by K.S. Ravikumar, stars Rajinikanth in the title role alongside Sivaji Ganesan. Krishnan played Neelambari, a woman who seeks lifelong vengeance after her marriage proposal is rejected by the protagonist, who loves her housemaid instead. The movie was a major commercial success and earned several state awards, with Krishnan's performance receiving significant praise.

Krishnan began her career in Malayalam and Hindi cinema, with early roles in films like Dayavan. She gained wider recognition through Telugu movies directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, such as Allari Mogudu. Her work includes the Hindi film Khalnayak and the Kannada hit Gadibidi Ganda. She recently appeared in the Telugu movie Purushothamudu.
