AMD just doubles the VRAM on an RX 9070 XT and calls it a Pro GPU

Board partners began distributing AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 workstation graphics cards through retail channels. GIGABYTE shipped units featuring blower-style cooling designs with turbo fans. A Reddit user purchased the GIGABYTE model for $1220, but after taxes and shipping fees, the total cost rose to $1324. ASRock listed its Creator edition on Newegg for $1329. XFX previously announced availability through system integrators.

The workstation GPU contains 4096 Stream Processors and 128 ROPs with 20 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit interface. AMD equipped the card with 32GB memory capacity compared to 16GB found on the RX 9070 XT gaming variant. Linux systems benefit from error-correcting code support that detects and fixes memory problems. The professional card costs approximately double the price of the fastest RDNA 4 gaming GPU. Additional manufacturers such as ASUS and Sapphire plan custom editions for future release.
