AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D beats Intel rivals in gaming

AMD has released the Ryzen 5 7500X3D processor, a budget gaming chip featuring six cores and twelve threads that the company claims outperforms Intel's Core i5 14600K and Core Ultra 5 245KF. The new Zen 4-based processor includes 96 megabytes of L3 cache through 3D V-Cache technology, operates between 4.0 and 4.5 gigahertz, and consumes 65 watts of power while integrating RDNA 2 graphics with dual GPU cores at 2200 megahertz.

Company performance data indicates the chip delivers 13 percent higher frame rates than the 245KF in demanding titles and 22 percent gains in competitive gaming, with smaller advantages of 8 and 12 percent, respectively, against the 14600K. The processor launches at 269 dollars across North America and EMEA markets, though industry observers had anticipated a lower price point around 200 dollars for stronger value positioning within its competitive segment.
