The chip uses Zen 5 architecture with 96 cores and 192 threads. Performance testing occurred with Precision Boost Overdrive enabled for maximum speeds.
The entry-level 9965WX processor also showed strong results during benchmark testing. This 24-core chip scored 60,336 points, delivering 22 percent better performance than its predecessor. The new processor matches the performance of previous 32-core models from the prior generation. AMD will release both processors on July 23rd for professional workstation users.
