AMD's elusive Ryzen 5 7600X3D chip finally appears in the UK

AMD expands retail distribution for its Ryzen 5 7600X3D processor beyond initial limited markets. The budget gaming chip previously sold exclusively through MicroCenter stores in America and Mindfactory outlets in Germany. LambdaTek lists the processor at £299 for British consumers seeking affordable X3D technology. This marks the fourth global region where buyers can purchase the specialized gaming processor.

The six-core processor operates at reduced frequencies compared to standard variants while delivering superior gaming performance. Base and boost speeds reach 4.1 and 4.7 gigahertz respectively versus the 7600X model's 4.7 and 5.3 gigahertz ratings. Additional L3 cache through 3D V-Cache technology compensates for lower clock speeds during gaming workloads. The processor consumes 65 watts compared to 105 watts for non-X3D alternatives. AMD positions this chip as a cost-effective alternative to the premium 7800X3D model for budget-conscious gamers.
