Participants identified limited capital and high equipment costs as major barriers for young entrepreneurs, proposing improved lease-to-own financing as a solution.
The government announced a major support package, pledging 500 tractors and 800 threshers for youth and women in agriculture. Ministry representative Eng. Anna Mwangamilo stated that mechanization is central to achieving national goals of increased agricultural growth and exports. She confirmed that promising business models like Mechanization-as-a-Service would be integrated into the national rollout plan.
