Apple seeds fifth beta of iOS 26, macOS for more bug hunting

Apple distributed the fifth beta versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe to registered developers for testing and feedback collection. Developers can access these updates through their device Settings applications at no cost. The company simultaneously launched beta 5 releases for visionOS 26, watchOS 26, and tvOS 26 across compatible hardware platforms. Users must link their Apple ID accounts to active Developer Account credentials to receive over-the-air installations. The download process requires navigation to General settings, then Software Updates, followed by Beta Updates selection.

The iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 releases feature substantial interface modifications and expanded functionality sets. iPadOS 26 delivers enhanced productivity capabilities through a redesigned windowing framework and desktop-style menu bar implementation. These changes represent significant departures from previous operating system iterations. Developers will evaluate the new features before public availability announcements. Apple expects comprehensive testing feedback to refine the final release versions.
