Apple has dismissed several dozen workers from its sales division as part of an effort to streamline how it distributes products to corporate clients, educational institutions, and government buyers. The cuts affected account managers handling major customers and personnel at customer briefing facilities, with affected workers given until mid-January to secure alternate positions internally or face termination with severance.
The iPhone maker appears to be redirecting more sales responsibilities toward external retail partners to reduce operational expenses. Separately, the tech giant terminated approximately 185 headquarters staff for financial misconduct.
