Asante Kotoko to Decide Future of Interim Coach Karim Zito

Asante Kotoko will decide soon about keeping their temporary coach Karim Zito. The club's communications chief Sarfo Duku says they need to review the season before making their choice. Zito stepped up after Prosper Narteh Ogum left during the middle of the campaign.

The interim coach helped Kotoko finish fourth in Ghana's top league and win the FA Cup trophy. His team beat Golden Kick FC 2-1 to claim the club's tenth cup victory. Zito lost only one league match during his time leading the team.

Duku praised the coach's work but stressed that club officials must study everything before deciding. The communications director said Zito performed well and guided the team to success. Kotoko earned their spot in next season's CAF Confederation Cup because of the FA Cup win.

The Porcupine Warriors brought Zito in as a short-term solution when their previous coach departed. His strong results have made the permanent job decision more difficult for club leadership. Kotoko will represent Ghana in African competition next year regardless of who coaches the team.
