ASRock Boards Are Killing Ryzen 7 CPUs

AMD Ryzen chips keep dying when paired with ASRock motherboards. Users reported almost 200 dead 9800X3D processors on Reddit, with more cases likely unreported. ASRock released fixes in February, but problems persist months later. These issues spread beyond 3D V-Cache models as YouTuber Bryan Bilowol lost a standard Ryzen 9 9950X processor.

The Tech YES City creator noticed gray marks on his dead chip after a friend borrowed his computer. His system failed during movie watching, with the screen going blank before the processor stopped working completely. Bilowol thinks ASRock tries to hide these problems, hoping they disappear without attention. He plans to make more videos about these failures despite working with ASRock for many years. AMD shared research findings in Marc,h which led to another update from the board maker.
