ASRock Pro X3D boards pop up in Japan

ASRock quietly added two B650M Pro X3D motherboards to its website last month. Nobody heard about it through official channels—only sharp-eyed tech news sites caught the update. The company hinted these boards would appear only in select markets, but it didn't make any big announcements about the new products.

A Japanese user named momomo_us recently found these motherboards for sale at local stores Yodobashi and Dospara. Depending on where you shop, you can buy the B650M Pro X3D WiFi model for 26,640 yen (about $179) or 23,980 yen (around $161). The prices include tax for Japanese customers.

The strange part? These B650M Pro X3D boards look almost exactly like the earlier B850M Pro RS motherboard family. The older B850M Pro RS WiFi sells for 27,800 yen (roughly $187) at Dospara, right next to the newer model. Despite similar looks, the updated B650M design includes modern PCI-E 5.0 support for both graphics cards and solid-state drives.

ASRock says it made these boards specifically for AMD Ryzen X3D processors from the 9000 and 7000 series. It claims the boards offer better stability, compatibility, and performance—perfect for gaming and creative work. Because the Pro X3D looks almost identical to the Pro RS line, ASRock probably wants to avoid customer confusion and plans to limit where it sells these new motherboards.
