Ubisoft will release a free expansion for Assassin's Creed Mirage on Nov. 18. The Valley of Memory downloadable content adds the AlUla region, a historical trade center on the Incense Road from the Abbasid Empire's Golden Age. Developers collaborated with archeologists and historians to recreate the ninth-century setting accurately.
The expansion features a story centered on protagonist Basim's search for his father. Additional content includes new contracts, side quests, and mission replay functionality. Players will encounter a new faction of robbers and access upgraded tools, enhanced parkour abilities, and manual jumping mechanics. The northern AlUla region emphasizes rocky terrain exploration rather than urban environments.
The company developed this expansion after positive player reception and through its partnership with Savvy Games Group, an investment firm established by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Ubisoft initially had no plans for additional Mirage content at launch.
