AYANEO drops Android gaming pad with Snapdragon punch

AYANEO showed off its Android gaming pad at GDC 2025, held in San Francisco on March 17. They became the first company to use Qualcomm's new Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 gaming platform. The CPU runs 30% faster than before, and the GPU delivers 28% better graphics performance compared to earlier models. The main feature includes an 8.3-inch 1440p LCD screen made for gaming, running at 120 Hz with a taller 3:2 shape.

The company added a special cooling fan that blows air through the system to keep things running smoothly during long play sessions. They built the frame using CNC metal machining methods. The back has clear glass that lets you see inside—AYANEO calls this their "Explorer Edition" look. The cameras beat what you'd expect on a gaming tablet. It has a 5 MP front camera for streaming, plus a 50 MP main rear camera and a 13 MP super-wide lens that captures 120 degrees of view.

AYANEO is packed in a six-axis motion sensor for tilt controls during gameplay. The sound comes from four separate speaker chambers that create rich audio all around you. They added the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology for faster internet speeds. You can connect different controllers, keyboards, and mice to make it work better for various types of games. AYANEO may have been first, but competitor OneXPlayer just announced their ONEXSUGAR SUGAR 1 using the same powerful Snapdragon chip.

The company hasn't told us how much it will cost or when we can buy one yet. We also don't know all the technical details about memory, storage space, or battery life. AYANEO plans to share more information about their new gaming pad soon. The company seems focused on creating a premium Android gaming experience with cutting-edge hardware that goes beyond basic tablet features.
