A new cop shop just opened in Ayiem over in the Mpohor Fiase District, and the whole thing kicked off under a previous District Chief Executive before the current one wrapped it up using Common Fund cash. The divisional chief, Nana Okofo Akye Kwasi IV, paid for officer housing out of his own pocket, and everyone is calling that move solid leadership that actually backs up law enforcement instead of just talking about it.
Western Regional Police Commander Frank Abrokwah showed up and said proper facilities help officers do their jobs better, while the current DCE, Sophia Aubyn, thanked everyone involved for pushing the project through. The community is hoping that crime drops and that the relationship between residents and police gets stronger with this setup running.
