Bangladesh and the US Make Progress in Finalising Reciprocal Tariff Agreement

Bangladesh and America held new talks about trade deals on Thursday. The meeting happened at Washington DC between government officials from both countries. Dr Khalilur Rahman spoke for Bangladesh during these discussions. Brendan Lynch represented the United States at the trade talks. Both teams worked on creating an Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff.

Rahman leads national security matters for Bangladesh and has experience with trade issues. He used to work as a top trade policy expert at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Lynch serves as an Assistant Trade Representative for America. The officials spent time reviewing details of the proposed trade agreement. Each side brought experts to help with the complex negotiations.

The Bangladesh team reported positive results from the Washington meetings. Rahman said both countries made significant progress during their conversations. He told reporters that America and Bangladesh want to complete the agreement quickly. The negotiations show how both nations value stronger economic ties. Officials plan to continue working together until they reach a final deal.

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing released information about the trade discussions. Government sources confirmed that talks will continue between the two countries. Bangladesh hopes the agreement will boost trade opportunities with America. The deal could help businesses from both nations expand their operations.
