Bangladesh dengue deaths hit 150 with 3 more fatalities

Bangladesh recorded three additional dengue deaths during the previous day, bringing total fatalities to 150 for this year. Health officials admitted 685 new patients with viral fever symptoms, pushing the annual caseload to 37,891 cases. All three deceased victims were women from Dhaka's northern and southern city corporation areas.

Hospital admissions spread across multiple divisions with Dhaka and DSCC regions showing highest patient numbers. The Directorate General of Health Services reports that men comprise 60.1 percent of infections while women account for 39.9 percent. Currently 1,715 patients remain under medical care throughout the country.

The mosquito-transmitted disease killed 575 people last year when Bangladesh experienced over 101,000 confirmed cases. Recovery rates reached approximately 100,000 patients during that period. Medical authorities continue monitoring the outbreak as case numbers climb during peak transmission season.
