Bauchi mourns former CJN Tanko Muhammad

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed reacted to the death of former Chief Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad. The 72-year-old jurist, a Bauchi native, died following a long illness in Saudi Arabia.

The governor praised the late justice as a disciplined and dedicated legal figure. He highlighted Muhammad's career path from High Court Judge to Supreme Court Justice, eventually leading as Chief Justice from 2019 to 2022. Mohammed noted his respected legal expertise and national honor.

He extended sympathies to the family, the legal community, and citizens of Bauchi and Nigeria. The governor called the death a major loss for the state and the country's judiciary, recognizing his lifelong service to the law.
