Betika and NLGRB team up for safer bets and roads

Betika Uganda teamed up with gaming officials to spread safety messages at a major motorcycle taxi celebration. The event happened at UMA Showgrounds where SafeBoda marked ten years of business. More than 2,000 boda boda drivers came to join the party with their friends and families. Popular musicians Ssuna Ben and Ffe Bussi entertained the crowd with live performances. Several companies like Stanbic Bank and Total supported the anniversary celebration.

The betting company handed out over 600 bright safety vests to motorcycle drivers during the festival. Each vest carried special logos and reminded riders to gamble carefully with their money. Workers also gave away helmet bags to help protect drivers on busy roads. A trained counselor stayed at the event to talk with anyone feeling worried about betting habits. The specialist helped riders learn about managing stress and spending money wisely.

Dennis Nantajja from Betika said talking directly with drivers helped share important safety advice. He liked seeing different groups work together to help local communities stay safe. Jackline Kamakune from the gaming board praised efforts that protect players and teach smart money choices. She believed meeting people where they work and live made the biggest difference. Both organizations want to continue these community programs that combine road safety with responsible gambling education.
