BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi slams the Gandhi family over corruption shielding and political influence

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized the Gandhi family during a Saturday media briefing in New Delhi. He accused family members of protecting each other against corruption allegations. Trivedi questioned whether Rahul Gandhi should defend his brother-in-law, Robert Vadra, after the Enforcement Directorate filed charges against him. The spokesman claimed Gandhi defends Vadra despite being on bail himself.

Trivedi pointed to another case where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra supported former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's son after his Friday arrest. He argued that this demonstrates a pattern of the Gandhi family covering up wrongdoing. The BJP leader stated that family members hold positions across both houses of Parliament while Vadra controls significant land holdings. He accused the Gandhis of dividing society by region and caste to maintain power. Trivedi also criticized Congress for focusing on negative aspects of foreign policy rather than celebrating diplomatic achievements.
