The next big fantasy RPG from Witcher III veterans just got a 2026 launch confirmation. Rebel Wolves studio founders Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and Dominika Burza announced in a new video that The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially scheduled for release this year, though a specific date remains unshared.
The developers expressed gratitude for the strong fan response to initial trailers and gameplay shown throughout 2025 at events like Gamescom and PAX. They emphasized that community feedback directly shapes the project, citing several implemented changes based on player input. These include adding a traditional action RPG combat mode alongside the initially shown directional system, better integration of active abilities, and adjusting the radial menu to only slow time instead of pausing it completely.
Rebel Wolves plans to reveal more gameplay features, locations, and characters in the coming months, alongside introducing the full main cast and more of the soundtrack. The game, built with Unreal Engine 5, is slated to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
