Boko Haram Finds Fans on TikTok

Boko Haram terrorists started using TikTok to spread their ideas. Security expert Bulama Bukarti, who works at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, told Channels Television about this problem during a Sunday interview. The terrorists host live shows where they talk about their beliefs and answer viewers' questions during these broadcasts.

This news came after Senator Ali Ndume reported many deaths from Boko Haram attacks. He said around 100 soldiers died along with 280 civilians in just six months. The group has become more advanced with its operations. Bukarti mentioned seeing a video where a terrorist criticized him for speaking against their violence. The group uses drones to spy on military bases before attacking them.

The terrorists have successfully attacked seven military camps recently. They took over these areas, killed soldiers, captured others, and stole weapons with supplies. Bukarti expressed worry about how the group spreads messages through social media platforms. They communicate mainly in the Hausa language to reach local audiences. Their growing online presence helps them recruit new members across the region.
