Troops chase off Boko Haram, save Adamawa border village

Boko Haram got smoked trying to hit a village last night. Troops from Operation Hadin Kai shut down an attack by suspected terrorists on Mayo Ladde village in Adamawa State. The security forces, along with the Civilian Joint Task Force, rolled out after a distress call came in. Analysts say the fighters tried to push into the community in Hong Local Government Area but got hammered by the military response. The whole thing went down along a border route near the Sambisa Forest and Askira Uba areas of Borno State.

The troops apparently forced the attackers to bounce after a heavy fight. No one died in the clash because villagers had already booked it before the insurgents showed up. Now the military is ramping up patrols and surveillance around Mayo Ladde and other nearby border spots. The goal is to stop more attacks and lock down the terrorist movement in the region.
