Bro Philemon announces return to gospel music after hiatus

Gospel artist Bro Philemon finally spoke up after disappearing from music for several years. The Takoradi-born singer lives in China and runs multiple businesses there. Fans wondered if he had quit making gospel music completely. People in the gospel community heard rumors about him working with artists from America, Britain and the Philippines behind closed doors.

Bro Philemon won awards at major African music ceremonies back in 2014 and 2018. His real name is Ishmael Philemon Ackon and he became one of the first Ghanaian gospel singers to win at AFRIMA in Nigeria. He also received honors at gospel music awards in the UK. The singer assured fans that he never stopped believing in his calling to make religious music.

His business work kept him away from recording studios and concert stages. Bro Philemon owns companies in Hong Kong and Shenzhen that handle supply management. He also runs luxury hotels, restaurants and beauty spas in the Philippines. These ventures provided him with new creative inspiration for future songs.

The gospel star released popular tracks like It Is Well and All The Glory before taking his break. He worked with legendary singer Amy Newman on Sweetest Name. Bro Philemon promised fans that his comeback music will sound more mature and reach audiences around the world.
