Kabiru Bello leaves Warner Music after eight years

Kabiru Bello, the Head of A&R for EMEA at Warner Music, has announced his departure from the company after an eight-year tenure. In an internal message, Bello expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to build the Asylum label in the Nordics and to later serve in global and regional A&R leadership roles. He highlighted his focus on fostering cross-cultural collaborations and connecting artists across different markets.

Simon Robson, President of EMEA Recorded Music for Warner Music, praised Bello as an A&R powerhouse who significantly raised the industry benchmark for strategic artist partnerships. Bello’s career at the company began in 2017 on the A&R team in Sweden, leading to his eventual promotion to head the EMEA region. He previously founded his own Stockholm-based music company, 20/20 Records.
