Budget RTX 5060 to Trash AMD RX 9060 for 299 Bucks

NVIDIA plans to release its RTX 5060 graphics card in mid-May after showing it at Computex 2025. The new budget card will compete against AMD models with 8 GB of memory. Stores are already preparing for the May 19 launch date, with PNY recently listing their version. This cheaper option offers 25 percent more processing cores than earlier models but keeps the same memory size.

The card runs faster with new GDDR7 memory chips reaching speeds of 28 Gbps through a 128-bit connection. It needs more electricity, using 145 watts compared to earlier versions that used 110 watts. Memory speed increases 64 percent over previous models. Leaked store listings show a $299 price tag, which might become the standard cost. Many gamers worry about limited memory since the RTX 5060 Ti version struggled with only 8 GB.
