Bulawayo honours top schools and learners

The Bulawayo City Council honored its top academic institutions and students during a ceremony at the Large City Hall. Malindela Primary School received the award for Best Performing Primary School, earning a monetary prize and a trophy. Ntshamatshe Primary and Mgiqika Primary secured second and third places, respectively.

Other recognitions included Sigombe Primary for most improved pass rates and Mkhithika Primary for significant infrastructure development. Mahatshula Primary was celebrated for several students achieving top marks on their grade seven examinations.

Principal Education Officer Mehluleli Mpofu stated the event supports the city's commitment to lifelong learning and rewarding excellence. He added that the council implements educational strategies to improve quality and foster student talent across its network of schools.
