Seven people died when their canoe overturned during a trip across water in Sokoto State. The boat carried passengers from Gidan Hussaini to Sabon Garin Hussaini on Monday morning. Security expert Zagazola Makama reported the drowning accident on social media Tuesday. The canoe flipped around 11 a.m. and killed everyone on board. The paddler who steered the boat also lost his life in the water.
