Vellum Pro 1.0.0 is CarbonDSP’s $20 algorithmic reverb, built to keep a big reverb sound from masking the lead. Instead of lowering the full reverb signal, its ducking targets only frequency areas that conflict with the source. Those sharp P and S sounds also get faster recovery.
Four modes set the space type with Room, Plate, Hall, and Air. Meanwhile, seven voicings cover Voice, Drums, Bass & Low, Guitar & Keys, Strings & Orchestral, Bus & Glue, and Design. The plugin can inspect incoming audio and recommend a voicing, but it never changes one by itself.
Users can shape decay over six bands spanning 60 Hz through 12 kHz, split room size from decay length, and load an impulse response for a close parameter match. CarbonDSP also includes 76 presets for vocals, speech, instruments, and creative use.
