CENS sets 13,322 MT-s DDR5 record on ROG Z890 Apex

German overclocker CENS has claimed the top position on the HWBot DDR5 leaderboard by pushing memory speeds to 6661.4 MHz, equivalent to 13,322.8 MT/s. The achievement surpasses the previous record by approximately 111 MHz and was accomplished using an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor paired with an ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 APEX motherboard and G.Skill Trident Z5 24 GB module.

The configuration maintained CL68-127-127-127-2 latency timings while reaching the higher frequency, with liquid nitrogen cooling applied to both processor and memory components. Most recent records have utilized the GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE motherboard, though the Z890 APEX has proven competitive for extreme overclocking attempts.

Industry observers anticipate speeds approaching 14,000 MT/s may become achievable as motherboard designs improve and newer SK Hynix memory dies become available alongside updated Intel processors featuring enhanced memory controllers.
