Twenty-nine youth organizers from the New Patriotic Party's Central Region have thrown their weight behind Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2028 presidential contest, citing his capacity to unify party members and implement practical governance solutions. The group assessed all five candidates before concluding that the ex-vice president offers the strongest combination of experience and policy direction for employment generation and delegate support programs.
Speaking during Bawumia's regional campaign stop, the organizers emphasized his cross-demographic appeal and commitment to cohesion within party ranks. Kennedy Agyapong, Osei Yaw Adutwum, Bryan Acheampong, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong are competing against him for the nomination ahead of the January selection process.
