Channel Robot has launched Atmosia 3, a virtual instrument for cinematic music production that provides four voices capable of generating atmospheric textures from more than 700 sound sources. The software, distributed by Tracktion, underwent a complete redesign featuring an updated interface with a main page for accessing envelopes, filters, modulation and effects, plus dedicated sections for deeper editing.
The instrument expands per-voice capabilities with full ADSR envelopes, filter envelopes, tremolo and vibrato modulation, field effects and flexible routing options. An enhanced X-Y pad includes new offset controls for shifting recorded modulation paths while preserving their shape, and a Transit Modulator enables tempo-synced morphing across the four sound sources. The effects library has grown from eight to 28 modules, incorporating a ring-modulation filter.
Additional features include per-voice arpeggiators with multiple play directions and probability controls, dedicated LFOs for core parameters, and keyboard split functionality for assigning note ranges to individual voices. Atmosia 3 supports Windows 10 and later, plus macOS 10.13 and above in VST3 and AU formats, excluding Pro Tools compatibility. The plugin costs $69.
