Charles Quansah solves Abowinim’s water crisis

The C-Quansah Foundation has completed a mechanized borehole for the Abowinim community in the Cape Coast Metropolis to address a long-standing water shortage. The project, led by lawyer and presidential staffer Charles Quansah, was officially launched on November 1, 2025, in the Taimesase Electoral Area. The new borehole will ease the daily struggles of residents who previously relied on unsafe water sources located several kilometers away.

During the ceremony, Quansah highlighted his personal connection to the project, recalling his own childhood experiences with water scarcity. He emphasized the project’s goal to reduce the burden on women and children who often spend hours searching for water. Beyond providing clean water, Quansah stressed the foundation’s commitment to youth empowerment through job creation and education initiatives.

The local NDC Electoral Area Coordinator, Henry Johnson White, was credited with tirelessly advocating for the project, which he called life-changing for the community. Cape Coast South NDC Chairperson, Korankye Taylor, also attended and expressed support for the project’s positive impact. The Abowinim borehole is the third of 13 planned for the region.
