Chelsea to face Fluminense in FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals after wins

Chelsea crushed Palmeiras to reach the Club World Cup semi-finals. Cole Palmer put the Blues ahead early before Estevao Willian leveled things up for the Brazilian side. Malo Gusto's cross bounced off goalkeeper Weverton for an unlucky own goal that sealed Chelsea's victory. New signing Joao Pedro came off the bench to make his debut for the London club. Estevao impressed everyone and will join Chelsea after this tournament ends.

Fluminense also advanced after beating Al Hilal in their quarter-final clash. The match started with a touching tribute to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva who died in a recent car crash. Portugal teammates Joao Cancelo and Ruben Neves cried during the moment of silence. Matheus Martinelli opened the scoring for the Brazilian team before Marcos Leonardo tied things up. Substitute Hercules came on and scored the winner to send Fluminense through.

The semi-final between Chelsea and Fluminense promises drama and excitement. Veteran defender Thiago Silva will face his former club after spending successful years at Stamford Bridge. The 40-year-old center-back has helped Fluminense keep a tight defense throughout the competition. Goalkeeper Fabio has also played a crucial role in their impressive run. Other quarter-finals continue today with PSG facing Bayern Munich and Real Madrid taking on Borussia Dortmund.
