Comoros pledges cancer treatment for patients at ORCI

Moustadroine Abdou, President of the Comoros National Assembly and the country’s second-highest leader, has committed to ensuring that all Comorian cancer patients will receive treatment at Tanzania’s Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI).

Abdou made this pledge after visiting the facility today, where he expressed his admiration for its state-of-the-art medical technology. He emphasized that there is no longer a need for Comoros to send patients abroad for treatment, as ORCI now provides high-quality services that meet the country's healthcare needs.

He also praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for equipping the Institute with advanced resources and reiterated Comoros' intention to strengthen cooperation with Tanzania in improving the health sector. Abdou noted that maintaining peace and stability in Tanzania is crucial for the country's ability to attract patients from across Africa and the globe.

Said Yakubu, Tanzania’s Ambassador to Comoros, echoed this sentiment, reaffirming Tanzania’s dedication to fostering closer diplomatic and cooperative ties between the two nations.
