Cresta Sprayview just finished gutting all 65 rooms at their Victoria Falls property, and managing director Rutendo Badenhorst says the whole thing is about staying competitive while keeping guests happy. The hotel did a full overhaul with new fixtures, open closets, renovated bathrooms, and a complete garden redesign that leans into the greenery across the grounds.
The property started life as Peter's Motel back when the Gardini family ran things, and it eventually became Victoria Falls Hotel before Cresta took over operations. Badenhorst mentioned that tourism growth in Zimbabwe is pushing everyone to level up their infrastructure and service quality, which is why they are already working on upgrading the restaurant, lounge, and bars through next year.
General manager Patience Musonza chairs the local Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe branch, and the hotel still pulls in international tourists plus smaller conferences and events.
