Delta State native doctor held, pump-action guns seized

Police officers from Delta State captured a traditional healer during a morning raid. Okonji Chimeze faces charges after authorities found weapons at his home. The 47-year-old man lives at Umuehe Quarters located near Ibusa town. Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cybercrime Squad members conducted the arrest operation. Officers moved against the suspect around 6:30 AM on June 14th.

Search teams discovered dangerous items hidden inside the building. Two pump-action firearms lay concealed above the ceiling area. Investigators also found a large knife stored with the guns. Police obtained proper legal permission before entering the property. The search revealed evidence that officers had suspected would be there.

SP Bright Edafe spoke about the case to reporters. The police spokesman confirmed that officers had taken the man into custody. Authorities will hold both the suspect and the recovered weapons during their probe. The investigation continues as detectives gather more information. Officials have not released additional details about the ongoing case.
