Dhaka Court Orders Seizure of Assets Belonging to Tarique Ahmed Siddique and His Brother

A judge grabbed control of expensive property from two powerful brothers linked to the fallen government. The court took away land and buildings worth about 15 crore taka from Tarique Ahmed Siddique and his brother Shafique Ahmed Siddique. Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib signed the papers after corruption fighters asked for help. The Anti-Corruption Commission wanted the court to stop the men from selling their stuff. Someone else will watch over the property until investigators finish their work.

Tarique Ahmed Siddique used to give military advice to Sheikh Hasina before she lost power. His brother Shafique Ahmed Siddique also faces serious money charges from the government. The corruption commission thinks both men made their fortune through dirty deals. Investigators believe the brothers were trying to move their property to different people. This sneaky move would make it harder for police to trace where the money came from.

The court listened to the corruption commission and decided to freeze everything the brothers owned. A special person will manage the land and buildings until the case ends. The brothers cannot sell anything or give it away to family members. This legal move stops them from hiding evidence that might prove they stole public money. The investigation continues as officials dig deeper into their financial records.
