Does Marian Marinica's European experience matter?

I saw that Marian Marinica has done scouting or consulting work for huge clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. That sounds really impressive on paper. But does that kind of work actually help him as a national team coach in Africa? It's totally different from managing a team day to day.

I'm trying to decide if this makes him a better coach or if it's just something that looks good on his resume. Maybe it means he has a good eye for tactics and talent. Or maybe it means he's just a good analyst. I'm not sure if his time at big clubs will translate to success with the Warriors. What do you all think?

That's a good point about his resume. Seeing names like Arsenal and Liverpool next to Marian Marinica definitely catches your eye. I don't think it means he's going to turn us into a Premier League team overnight. But I do think it matters. It shows he's been inside the most modern football environments in the world. He's seen what top-level coaching tactics and player development look like.

That kind of experience is valuable. He's not just some coach who has only worked in one small league. He understands the global standard. This could help him identify diaspora players or even use his connections. Plus, it gives him a level of credibility with the players. They will know Marian Marinica has seen football at the very top.

But at the end of the day, it's his African experience that will count more. Knowing how to win a tough qualifier away from home is more important than knowing what Arsenal's training ground looks like. So I see the European stuff as a bonus. It's his work with Malawi that really gives me hope for Marian Marinica.
