Dying Light Beast Roars into August Apocalypse

Techland announced Dying Light The Beast launches August 22 for PC and new game consoles. The Polish studio created this spin-off after a 2023 data leak changed their expansion plans for Dying Light 2. Roger Craig Smith returns as voice actor Kyle Crane from the first game. Players control Crane after he survived thirteen years of dangerous lab tests that gave him monster powers.

The experiments changed Crane into a powerful beast who can crush skulls and tear enemies apart. Day exploration focuses on searching for supplies and resources. Night brings stronger zombies that force players to fight, escape, or hide from danger. Parkour movement returns with vehicles like the Following expansion added. Four friends can play together with shared progress across the entire campaign.

Castor Woods valley serves as the main location inspired by Swiss mountain areas. The region contains tourist towns, factory zones, national parks, farm areas, and swamp lands. Pre-orders cost sixty dollars and come with the Harran Bundle of special items. Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition owners receive the game free because it replaces cancelled downloadable content. The Beast offers different gameplay during day and night cycles.
