Dynamic Instruments debuted the SID sidechain plugin

Dynamic Instruments puts SID in producers' hands as a sidechain plugin built for changing rhythmic ducking from beat to beat. Instead of cloning one envelope over every hit, it can run different motion across one, two, or four bars, which gives each step room to act differently.

Individual steps get separate Depth and Length values, while the curve editor handles the shape. Groove and variation controls add more movement, synced Rate choices set timing behavior, and Band plus Focus tools narrow where processing lands. A Mix control also handles parallel use.

Producers can keep things basic with kick and bass, or push SID across synths, pads, and basslines for extra rhythmic motion.

Windows users get VST3 support, while macOS users can run VST3 or AU. Dynamic Instruments prices SID at $19.99 during the launch deal, with $29.99 as the regular cost. A free trial is available.
