The Zambezi Eagles won their second match at the Telkom Netball League Power Week One. They beat Eastern Cape Aloes 49-47 in a close game at Sun City Superbowl. The Eagles had a shaky start, but coaches made early lineup changes. They put Thandazile Ndhlovu in for Sharon Bwanali at the shooter. They also moved Nicole Muzanenamo to goal attack from wing attack.
The team replaced Ruvimbo Pawandiwa with Muzanenamo, and Faith Mutero took Muzanenamo's spot. Both teams played hard through the second quarter, and the Eagles fought to take the lead. They went into halftime up 23-22. The third quarter ended with the Eagles still ahead 36-35. They held on during a tight final quarter to secure the win.
Ndhlovu played well despite coming back from injury. She earned Player of the Match honors for her performance.
