Elder Scrolls Six Still Ghosting Fans After 7 Years

Microsoft finished another showcase without showing Elder Scrolls VI content. Bethesda revealed the game seven years ago during E3 2018. The company showed only a thirty-second landscape video with the game logo. Fans still wait for actual gameplay footage or release details.

Bethesda spent five years making Starfield instead of focusing on Elder Scrolls VI. Critics call Starfield one of Bethesda's worst games despite strong initial player numbers. The company could have worked more on Elder Scrolls VI during that time period. Reports suggested a 2026 release date but seem unlikely as 2025 progresses.

Fans face waiting nearly twenty years between Skyrim and Elder Scrolls VI. The Amazon Fallout series created new interest but Bethesda cannot capitalize quickly. Fallout 5 development remains at least five years away from starting work. Elder Scrolls VI probably arrives around 2027 at the earliest.

Todd Howard admitted announcing Elder Scrolls VI too early back during 2018. Seven years passed since that original announcement with minimal updates shared. Bethesda focuses on other projects rather than providing Elder Scrolls VI news. Fans should expect continued silence about the highly anticipated sequel.
