Ex-UNIMA President Plans 'Justice Awaiting' Protest Over Expulsion Saga

A former student leader plans to shake up the University of Malawi with dramatic protests. Humble CS Bondo lost his Student Council President job when officials kicked him out on June 18, 2024. The angry young man claims university bosses refused to give him a fair trial. School administrators blocked him from bringing witnesses to defend himself. Bondo says the whole process was rigged against him from the start.

The frustrated student took his fight to court and scored a major victory. High Court judges sided with Bondo on April 2, 2025, and ordered the university to finish his appeal case within one month. More than 60 days have passed since the court ruling came down. University leaders have ignored the legal order completely. The school has given Bondo zero updates about his situation.

Bondo has crafted a wild protest plan called JADGIL that will grab attention across campus. He will march to the vice chancellor's office every single day carrying a mock coffin. The symbolic casket will bear the message RIP UNIMA Administrative Justice for all to see. Bondo will hold prayer sessions and stop eating as part of his spiritual campaign. The determined protester wants to force university officials to follow court orders and restore justice to the system.
