Mythri Movie Makers is warning people about a scammer impersonating their producer, Naveen Yerneni. According to the production company, this person is using a specific phone number, plus ninety one seven five four three eight six nine nine zero two, and a fake Instagram account to contact people under false pretenses. The company stated that all real communication comes only from their official account, at MythriOfficial on X. This recent alert follows another warning from earlier in the month about fake casting agents falsely claiming to work for the Telugu film outfit.
These fake casting schemes are a widespread issue for the film industry. Another major company, Raaj Kamal Films International, which actor Kamal Haasan owns, previously clarified that it never hires external casting agents. Neelam Productions, run by director Pa Ranjith, also told actors to ignore fraudulent audition calls circulating under its name. Actor Sibi Sathyaraj, son of well-known performer Sathyaraj, publicly disavowed a fake casting poster that used his image and name for a bogus project supposedly directed by Sakthi Saravanan.
Other production houses have faced identical problems this year. Director Sreyas of Wunderbar Films, a company owned by actor Dhanush, stated that any casting calls using his name or his company’s name were completely false, noting a specific phone number was being misused with his photo. Prince Pictures also issued a notice, cautioning people about fraudsters who promised roles in a film called Sardar Two in exchange for money or favors, confirming that those offers were entirely fraudulent.
