Fastjet Zimbabwe will start flying between Harare and Lusaka next week. The new flights begin on Wednesday, April 9, and will run three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They plan to use a smaller plane—the Embraer ERJ145—which can accommodate 50 people for these trips between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The company spokesperson, Nunurai Ndawana, talked about how Zimbabwe and Zambia help each other across many areas. He said this new route shows how much they want to boost growth throughout both countries. Fastjet Zimbabwe has served local communities for ten years already, and they feel happy about adding Lusaka to their flight map.
Donahue Cortes runs Fastjet's Zimbabwe business. He pointed out that no other airline offers early morning flights on this route. They planned the flight times carefully to let travelers have a full day of activities once they land. The company keeps building up its morning flight options, with this Lusaka trip joining similar early departures to Bulawayo and Johannesburg.
